I have to say for historical romance Ms. Gist is one of my favorite authors. I love her writing style and her characters are well developed and I remember them. In Maid to Match, Tillie is a parlor maid for the Vanderbilts in North Carolina and all she wants is to become the Lady's Maid but then she falls in love with Mack and her plans take a turn. This was a sweet story and I love that Ms. Gist uses actual facts and newspaper articles about the Vanderbilts for her story. If you like this genre you won't be disappointed with this book.
